What's New on the
PPSNYS Web Site?

The long awaited, new and improved PPSNYS web site. Aside from the new look, we do have some new functionality that we believe you'll enjoy.

1. Newer, sleek look and feel! We can change the banner (right now it's this one: http://ppsnys.com/images/banners/thenewmyppsnys.jpg) to promote different events or seasons.
2. Members can now access any page on the site, from any other page on the site! Each page has an identical menu bar so you're never lost.
3. Introducing MyPPSNYS. Each member can now update their own membership information online, INCLUDING PPA and PPSNYS degrees and certifications. Each member is assigned a login (your email address ***) and password (generated by the system). Please see note below regarding duplicate email addresses.
4. If you forget your password, the system can automatically generate a new one for you after it verifies that you are the authorized recipient.
5. Find a Photographer has been updated. Prospective customers can now search by name, zip code, area code, town or city or "any portion thereof! "
6. Each section may now appoint a person or persons to add their events to the website (Events section). These individuals will be given special administrative priviledges to make updates.
7. Membership Directory has new functionality, including a dynamic count of members in your section so you can see at a glance what your membership is.

Coming Soon!

1. New members will be able to JOIN PPSNYS via the web site / PayPal -- No more waiting
2. Exisiting members will soon be able to RENEW their membership online -- no more checks and stamps
3. We are better delineating our membership benefits. New benefits are tough to come by, but we can sure do a better job and explaining the ones we do have!

A NOTE -- RE: DUPLICATE EMAIL ADDRESSES
Your login to My PPSNYS is your email address. For this to work properly, each member must have a unique email address. Therefore, we have eliminated duplicate email addresses. When those members have unique email addresses, Headquarters can add the new email address, at which time the member will have their update priviledges.

BUT... HOW DO I LOG IN? I DON'T KNOW MY PASSWORD!
Fear not! We've got you covered. Just use the "Forgot my Password" option. The system will send you an authentication code, which you will use to verify that you have access to your email address. Once you do that, the system will then send you a temporary password. Use that password to login, then you can change the temporary password to something of your own choosing. EASY, yes?

BUT WHAT ABOUT.... ?
We know... it's not perfect, but we're getting better. You can send your questions or suggestions to us at any time via the "Contact PPSNYS" link at the bottom of every page and we will review your suggestions and pass them on to the board for consideration.
